Founder and President

My name is Cory Eshleman, and I’m the Co-Founder of RTD Dog Training, “Rescue the Dog,” a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our goal at RTD Dog Training is to keep dogs in loving homes, ensuring fewer dogs end up in rescues and shelters, and providing access to those dogs in rescues and shelters in Las Vegas increasing their chances to be adopted.
After serving 22 years in the Army and completing 30 years of federal service, my lifelong devotion to dogs led me to pursue formal training. I enrolled in Animal Behavior College and completed their program to become a certified dog trainer. Part of that journey led me to volunteer at Shari’s Shepherd Rescue, where I witnessed firsthand the incredible difference training makes, empowering rescue dogs to become confident, adoptable companions.
I’ve also worked with many private clients, often stepping in when families felt they had nowhere else to turn, on the verge of rehoming their dogs due to behavior issues. Recognizing the urgent need for effective solutions to combat the rehoming crisis in Las Vegas, I delved into understanding why so many dog owners don’t seek training. The answers were clear: high cost and limited access. To break down these barriers, RTD Dog Training seeks to bring together grant money and donors with a coalition of professional trainers. This collaborative approach allows us to offer affordable, high-quality training for rescue, shelter, and at-risk dogs, strengthening bonds between dogs and their families.
We look forward to your support in making a lasting difference in the lives of Las Vegas’s dogs and their families. Please consider donating or volunteering to help us achieve our mission.
